Batteries age. Speakers should not have to. Four standard cells, one screwdriver and ten minutes.

The dial, 200 knurls at a time
We cut the dial on a lathe, knurl the edge and anodise it twice. It clicks every 2 dB so you can set it without looking.

Knitting a speaker grille
The sleeve is knitted in one piece on a flat-bed machine, from yarn spun out of recycled bottles. Here is how it holds its shape.

Why the woofer points at the ceiling
Aim a speaker at a room and half the room is in the wrong place. Aim it at the ceiling and the room does the aiming for you.
