A battery you can change yourself
Batteries age. Speakers should not have to. Four standard cells, one screwdriver and ten minutes.
Why it matters
Most portable speakers die when the battery does. We built Column around a pack you can swap in ten minutes with the screwdriver in the box.
Standard cells
The pack uses four 21700 cells. It keeps about 80 percent of its capacity after 1,000 full charges, and a replacement costs $39.
Nine parts, no glue
Every part is held by screws or clips. That also makes Column easy to recycle when you are finally done with it.
