The dial, 200 knurls at a time
We cut the dial on a lathe, knurl the edge and anodise it twice. It clicks every 2 dB so you can set it without looking.
From bar stock
Each dial starts as a 70 mm aluminium bar. It is turned, knurled with 200 ridges, bead-blasted and anodised.
Detents you can count
The dial clicks at every 2 dB. Twenty clicks from quiet to loud, which is enough to find your level in the dark.
